The story begins with a Wall Street trader yearning to do something more meaningful. Getting back to nature via organic farming was the first thing that came to mind for Jayson Weisz, and starting with the land and a collaboration with already established farmers, he grew Witt Road Organics.
Jayson’s interest in organics is twofold – contributing to the improvement of the environment through land stewardship and producing quality food for those concerned about the integrity of what they’re eating. Getting back to basics, Witt Road offers “real food for real people” and according to Jayson, creating a successful organic farming business has been a “beautiful thing”.
Witt Road has gracefully handled the challenges of Mother Nature, sandy soil and all, and continues to see the blooms of squash, okra, and a variety of other vegetables seasonally.
